Since 1983 Sanguin International Limited has been involved principally in the Blood Transfusion industry, supplying software solutions for Transfusion Medicine and Blood Donation screening dedicated to the design, implementation and support of the transfusion industry throughout the world. Over 3000 systems in more than 40 countries have been supplied via a network of distributors and major Diagnostic Companies.

Our products have continually evolved over this time to match the changing and ever increasing requirements of the busy testing laboratories. Our personnel comprise nearly 50% of individuals with medical laboratory qualifications and practical experience.

Many of our Customers ran a product known as Medusa 2000. This was widely recognised as the 'de facto' standard in the blood banking and donation testing world.

Our offices were previously located in a typical English village, however due to our increasing requirements it became necessary to move to larger modern premises in 2007.

Medusa 2000 has been replaced by Sanguin Aurora which has three levels of functionality, providing software solutions for the smallest to the largest laboratory. The new Aurora 'family' comprises Aurora Gold, Aurora Meridian and Aurora Lite.

The Sanguin AccLaIM has been designed for the Blood Donation and Plasma processing facilities. AccLaIM is an Accessioning Laboratory Informaton and Management System designed specifically to cater for the modern day requirements of a busy and regulated laboratory testing environment and is currently in constant use in a number of centres in the US. In conjunction with Aurora or Medusa 2000 it has proven to be able to easily handle 20,000 samples per day in one center.
Medusa 2000, Aurora and AccLaIM are FDA 510(k) CBER cleared for use in Blood Establishments.

In addition Sanguin have implemented a number of bespoke instrument interfaces and our product Sanguin Morpheus, is a universal connectivity solution for Electronic Data Interchange between instruments and computer systems.
Sanguin has offices both in the UK and in the US. Our UK office is located in the heart of England in Burton-upon-Trent which is famous for its hard gypsum water. Originally discovered by the local monks, the water is now drawn from artesian wells and brewed into beer, this being Burton's principle industry. A number of breweries are based in Burton, of which Bass (now owned by Coors) is the most famous. The surrounding Staffordshire countryside is becoming increasingly popular as a tourist area.
